Federal Parliament is considering the legalisation of human research cloning. Big biotech promises elusive cures but what about Australian women? Thousands of women’s eggs must be extracted to create the clonal embryos for this research.

Women are at risk of ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome, organ failure, stroke, reproductive cancers, infertility and even death. Six women are reported to have died in the UK from egg extraction.
